This is what our clients have said about us...
We had our wedding at Burnicombe Farm in early August and there really are no words to describe how unbelievably amazing the whole day was.
The location is absolutely breathtaking to say the least and the licensed wedding gazebo was just perfect for the surroundings, allowing us to keep the wedding simple and let the amazingly beautiful Devon scenery be the back drop! In short, the whole thing was simply beautiful.
Georgina and Trevelyan have been amazing from start to finish, allowing us to descend on their farm to continually reacquaint ourselves with it all (living in London makes it easy to forget), make our plans and bring the vision in our heads to life. They have been fantastically accommodating, extremely hands on and supportive and i really can't praise them both enough.
On top of the organising and all the support, on the day they were in charge of cooking the food.
As Georgina often caters at festivals, she made cooking food for 100 people look like a doddle and it was absolutely delicious. Every single mouthful!
I really can't praise this team and venue highly enough. What you want on your wedding day is to relax, sink into the whole thing and enjoy every second. Georgina and Trevelyan were there in the background the whole time making sure the whole thing ran like clockwork so we didn't have to worry about a thing.
There were so many extra tiny little details that they did for us which made the day so much more special and i could talk about it for hours but i hope i've said enough to convince you of their support, kindness and absolute warmth as people too!
We will never ever forget our wedding day and I know none of our guests will either, as every single person commented on the unique yet utter simplicity of the day, making it perfectly beautiful and i know that so much of that was because Georgina and Trevelyan made it possible for us.'
We chose Burnicombe Farm nearly two years earlier after extensive searching on the internet for our perfect venue. We were excited as soon as we saw the website, and one visit later we were booked! We wanted something unique, relaxed and licensed for civil ceremonies and with camping involved!
Even though when we first visited the venue it was on a windy, wet autumnal day and the Raj tents weren’t up we instantly fell in love with the location!
And it was! Despite the summer of rain we’ve just had and a rather wet day the day before the day of our wedding was dry and the site drained completely of any rain water leaving it completely dry and mud free underfoot! The log cabin was perfect for the bridal party to get ready in and well equipped and walking up from there to the wedding bower was pretty dramatic! The ceremony was lovely and personal in the bower, with those guests standing around the edge as involved as those sitting in.
The backdrop for photos was fantastic and our guests couldn’t believe the amazing scenery!
The reception was relaxed for us and our guests whilst
Us and 50 of our friends camped at Burnicombe Farm which was fantastic, we had a bonfire which some stayed around til the early hours!
Overall we couldn’t have asked for anything more, Burnicombe Farm was exactly what we wanted and we have had nothing but fantastic compliments from all of our guests – including those with children who commented it was the most child friendly wedding they’d been to. This was mainly due to the brilliant children’s tent – well worth booking as it kept children of all ages entertained and happy for the whole reception, and so meant lots of happy parents!

Burnicombe Farm was the venue for our son and daughter-in-law’s wedding at the beginning of August and everything about it was exactly as they had wished and hoped for. Georgina could not have been more kind, she was keen for them to have exactly what they wanted, she has a friendly, positive and approachable manner which makes it easy to discuss all the arrangements in detail. Her food is delicious, the spit roast and accompanying salads with home made chutneys, meringues and fruit, and huge cheese boards were followed the next morning by a wonderful breakfast of sausages, bacon and eggs greatly appreciated by all the campers. We could not have been more pleased with the wedding and would highly recommend Burnicombe Farm to anyone who wants a country wedding.

| My daughter and son-in-law's wedding was a truly terrific day and we couldn't have asked for anything more from the Evans farmily and their team of staff who all worked so hard before, during and after the big day. The venue was perfect for us - relaxed and informal in beautiful wild countryside and the big Raj tents were spectacular. Georgina and Trevelyan thought of so many little details to make the day more special and to give my daughter exactly what she wanted. The food was fantastic and extremely good value with canapes to start, a hog roast with all the trimmings and buffet, a desert with fruit grown on their farm and all beautifully presented. Georgina is a superb cook and was careful to make sure the vegans and vegetarians were provided for with delicious alternatives. The next morning there was a big breakfast for the campers and again produce from the farm. Trevelyan was most helpful and managed everything superbly making sure it all ran smoothly. We have had nothing but positive feed back from all our guests who had a great time. Altogether it was a unique and unforgettable wedding which we will be talking about round the dinner table for years to come! |
