Educational visits

Being so rich in natural resources and having such a well documented history dating back to the Iron Age,  the farm is on the Higher Level Environmental Stewardship Scheme with Natural England  – Our varied organic land is a mosaic of natural habitat and is carefully managed to protect the environment and to encourage wild life. At the same time undertaking a farm diversification programme which is commercially viable and able to support a large family.

The farm thus offers  a host of opportunities to enjoy and understand  the natural world as well as finding out about organic agriculture. We provide hands-on activities designed to inform, to thrill and to inspire.

Education packs are available in advance of each visit to ensure groups are well prepared before they arrive so they can take full advantage of what is on offer.

Sessions last from 2 – 5 hours and lunch can be provided on request.

Residential trips can be arranged and programmes are tailored to the specific group.
